Fresh Water Collectibles is a physical collectibles store in Koramangala, Bengaluru, operating an online marketplace at freshwater.so. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We keep it short because we actually mean it.

What we collect and why

We collect only what we need to operate the marketplace and membership.

• Account information — your name, email address, and Google account identifier when you sign in with Google. We use this to create and manage your collector profile.
• Phone number — verified via OTP when you set up your profile. Used for order updates, and to link past in-store purchases to your account. We never share it with third parties for marketing.
• Username, bio, and profile photo — whatever you choose to share publicly on your profile page at freshwater.so/p/username.
• Order history — items purchased, amounts paid, dates, and shipping details. Used to compute your 1.51% store credit balance and maintain your purchase history.
• Store credit and Droplets balances — loyalty balances earned through purchases. Stored on your account and visible only to you.
• Usage data — anonymised analytics to understand how visitors use the site. No personally identifiable information is included.

Profile photos and cover images

Photos you upload to your profile are stored on our servers and are publicly accessible to anyone with the link. Don't upload anything you wouldn't want visible publicly.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your personal information to anyone.
• We don't use your data for advertising outside our own marketplace.
• We don't send marketing messages without your consent.
• We don't store payment card details. Card data is handled by our payment processor under PCI-DSS compliance standards.

Third-party services we use

We use trusted third-party services for authentication, payment processing, order delivery, and analytics. These services may receive only the data necessary to perform their function — for example, your delivery address is shared with the courier when an order ships, and your phone number is used only at the moment of OTP verification.

• Google Sign-In — authentication. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Payment processor — processes payments for online orders. We don't store card details.
• SMS/OTP provider — sends verification codes to your phone number.
• Courier partners — fulfil shipping orders. Your address is shared when an order ships.
• Google Analytics — anonymised site usage analytics. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google Analytics.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Order records are retained for accounting and tax compliance purposes (typically 7 years under Indian law). If you want your account deleted, email us and we'll remove it within 30 days, except for records we're legally required to retain.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing freshwater.blr@gmail.com. If you're in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you additional rights including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing.

Cookies

We use localStorage (browser storage, not traditional cookies) to remember your dark/light mode preference and keep you signed in. Google Analytics sets its own cookies; you can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Children

Our marketplace is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please contact us immediately.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top and — for significant changes — notify members via email. Continuing to use freshwater.so after changes means you accept the updated policy.
